Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking Per Diem Radiology Technologists to support our Diagnostic Imaging team. The role requires flexibility to cover 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts on a Varied schedule and participate in on-call rotations to ensure patient care.

Ideal candidates are graduates of AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology programs, hold ARRT certification, Wisconsin license, and CPR within 90 days of hire, with strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
• CPR Certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing questions or concerns.
• Position patients accurately to obtain quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Review images for quality and completeness before submission for interpretation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
• Adhere to radiation safety principles, including ALARA standards.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Assist with quality assurance activities and departmental improvement initiatives.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment.
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation.
