Job summary

Heywood Healthcare in Gardner, MA is seeking a Radiology Technologist for per diem coverage across days and evenings with holiday rotation. You will perform radiographic procedures, ensure optimal image quality, and enter orders in the Meditech system, while adhering to ALARA principles and patient safety protocols.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program, MA radiologic licensure, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent experience.
• ARRT certification preferred; MA license to practice radiologic technology required.
• CPR certification required; experience with Meditech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure radiographs are of optimum quality and film repeat rate is minimal.
• Follow image criteria to ensure proper patient positioning and information on each view.
• Operate x-ray equipment for diagnostic, fluoroscopic, portable and surgical procedures.
• Enter orders into the Meditech system and schedule exams accurately.
• Adhere to ALARA principles for radiation protection.
• Maintain patient safety and a clean work environment to prevent falls and injuries.
