Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks a Registered Radiologic Technologist for per diem evening shifts (730pm-1130pm). You will perform diagnostic imaging, verify orders, and maintain patient safety following ALARA principles while documenting in HIS/RIS/PACS. Maryland license and ARRT(R) certification required; BLS is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AMA/JRCERT accredited radiography program or Associate degree preferred.
• Maryland license as Radiologic Technologist required.
• ARRT(R) licensure active; BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year radiography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging studies per protocol.
• Identify patients, review orders, select appropriate x-ray protocol.
• Document procedures in HIS/RIS/PACS systems.
• Monitor patients before, during and after exams.
• Maintain ALARA practices and shielding for patients.
• Assist in orienting new staff and radiography students.
• Support PI projects and other duties as assigned.
