Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Radiography Technologist Extern per diem in Pembroke Pines, FL to assist under supervision of a Certified Radiography Technologist. You will perform basic imaging procedures within scope and standards of practice.

Responsibilities include transporting patients, greeting and scheduling, reviewing orders, explaining procedures, preparing equipment, and aiding in patient positioning.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited radiography technologist program.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or neuro chair to designated sites as requested.
• Greets patients, verify prescriptions, providers and schedule patients as needed; communicates with departments to facilitate efficient care.
• Assists in reviewing history and physician's orders.
• Informs patient regarding procedures, and exam.
• Assists in preparing equipment and supply.
• Assists in patient positioning.
