Job summary

The Beach Post-Acute in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Per-Diem Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our Rehab team. The PTA will help therapists with treatments, document progress, and assist in moving and positioning patients as part of individualized care plans.

Licensed CA PTA with at least 1 year of SNF/long-term care experience and strong patient-service skills are required to join a dedicated team committed to quality care in a 24-hour facility setting.

Qualifications

• CA PTA license active.
• Minimum 1 year of Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care experience.
• Excellent customer service and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with treatments per care plan.
• Record progress and modify treatments as directed.
• Instruct and motivate patients through exercises.
• Document treatment data for therapist review.
• Transfer and transport patients as required, ensuring safety.
• Administer manual therapies and modalities as applicable.
• Measure range of motion and vital signs for evaluations.
• Monitor equipment use and document treatment administration.
• Fit patients for braces or supportive devices.
