Job summary

Country Meadows is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our therapy teams. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents move with confidence and independence, implementing individualized treatment plans and delivering resident-centered care.

Per Diem for weekend coverage and weekday coverage; must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program with PA licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania.
• Knowledge of PTA treatment techniques within scope of practice.
• Ability to implement treatment plans under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary care team.
• Effective English communication skills (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions including exercise, mobility training, gait training, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Observe responses to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist during evaluations and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in safe mobility techniques and therapeutic activities.
• Organize and facilitate individual and group treatment activities with the Physical Therapist.
• Participate in patient care conferences and rehabilitation teamwork.
• Ensure adherence to schedules, service standards, and accurate documentation.
