Job summary

Aviara Healthcare Center is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in resident care and rehab activities. You will treat residents under supervision and help ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities include documentation, infection control, resident education, and coordinating with physicians, nursing staff, and families on progress and discharge planning. A CA PTA license is required and experience with Net Health and Point Click Care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient with Net Health and Point Click Care software.
• Ability to educate residents and families on goals and home programs.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation per requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment per infection control protocols.
• Communicate updates to physicians, nursing staff, and families.
• Educate residents and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs.
• Assist with training Restorative Aides.
• Assist with discharge planning and collaboration.
