Job summary

Lindsay Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care. The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate documentation, and maintaining a safe, compliant treatment environment.

You will treat residents under supervision, participate in care conferences, educate families, order equipment when appropriate, and support continuing education.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills such as Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read and interpret policy and procedure manuals.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the relevant state or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
• Assist in Resident Care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety.
• Communicate with supervising physical therapist and care team on progress and discharge planning.
• Assist with training of Restorative Aides and contribute to QA initiatives.
