Job summary

Kindred Hospital Westminster is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a LTACH per diem role in Westminster, CA. You will work under a Physical Therapist to implement care plans and support rehabilitation in a team-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program culminating in an associate degree.
• Current state licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the states where services are rendered.
• CPR certification (when required).
• Prior experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting.
• Available to participate in required training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team providing quality, compassionate care in a secure setting.
• Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, implement the patient's Care Plan for rehabilitation.
• Help patients participate in tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; assist with scheduling and post charges.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory and licensing requirements.
• Instruct patient’s family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle responsibilities per Company policies and applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
