Job summary

Kindred Hospital Brea, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time position at a 48-bed LTACH facility in Westminster, California. The role requires an accredited PTA program completion and active PTA licensure, with CPR certification and prior hospital or SNF experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA program culminating in an associate degree.
• Current state licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA or equivalent in the states where services are rendered.
• CPR certification (when required)
• Candidates should have prior experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting.
• Must be available to participate in required training sessions

Responsibilities

• Work in a team providing quality, compassionate care in a secure setting under supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Implement the patient's Care Plan for rehabilitation and help patients participate in tasks to restore and enhance performance.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to records.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Instruct patient families or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Adhere to company code of conduct and applicable laws; perform other duties as assigned
