Job summary

BoldAge PACE seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a per diem role in Columbus, OH. You will deliver direct, patient-centered care under supervision of a licensed physical therapist and work closely with an interdisciplinary team to support seniors at home.

The role emphasizes implementing treatment plans, educating participants and families, and maintaining documentation. A PTA license or eligibility is required, with experience with elderly populations preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate of Arts Degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program accredited by CAPTE.
• Current state license, or eligibility for licensure.
• One year’s PTA experience preferred.
• Experience working with frail or elderly population preferred; training provided if not present.

Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor participant progress and adjust treatments within scope of practice.
• Educate participants and families on home exercises, safety, and post-treatment care.
• Document therapy sessions and outcomes; report changes in condition or adverse reactions.
• Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a clean, safe environment; follow infection control procedures.
• Support with equipment and supply management; participate in staff meetings.
• Assist with participant transfers and travel as required.
• Uphold ethical and professional care standards; adhere to regulations.
