Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson - Acute Rehab Unit in Festus, MO is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist for per diem coverage. You will perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients, supervise rehab staff, and ensure care aligns with Mercy standards.

Qualifications include a Doctoral or Master of Science in Physical Therapy (or DPT), current state license, and BLS certification. Prior acute rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience in rehabilitation is preferred for adult and geriatric care.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
• Work in a manner consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
