Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson Acute Rehab Unit in Festus, MO is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist for per diem shifts. Duties include objective assessments, creating individualized treatment programs for adults and the geriatric population, and supervising rehab staff in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Requirements include a Bachelor/Master of Science in Physical Therapy or DPT, an active PT license in Missouri, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
• Adhere to Mercymission, values and Mercy Service Standards.
