Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO, seeks a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist for a per diem position in the Acute Rehab Unit. You will conduct objective assessments and design individualized therapy programs for adults and geriatric patients, under the supervision of Therapy Leadership.

The role includes direct supervision of patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants in line with State Practice Acts.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Education

Bachelor/Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy

Licensure: Current/Temporary PT license in state of practice

BLS certification

6 months to 1 year Rehabilitation PT experience (preferred)
