Walden Behavioral Care is seeking Registered Nurses for per diem shifts at an onsite Massachusetts facility. You will provide high-quality psychiatric nursing care, monitor residents, and document in the EHR as part of a collaborative treatment team.

Qualified candidates will have MA RN licensure, CPR certification, and at least two years of psychiatric experience. Per diem shifts include Days, Evenings, and Nights with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ prior relevant psychiatric experience.
• Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and crisis management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assume full and ultimate responsibility for the quality of nursing care, including maintaining optimal resident health, teaching, counseling, and restoration of function.
• Incorporate knowledge of patient rights, mission, vision, and values into nursing practice.
• Act as a resident advocate and assist residents in developing skills to advocate for themselves.
• Document all appropriate resident information in a timely manner.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments including biopsychosocial and medical history with age considerations.
• Complete ongoing assessment of residents and respond appropriately.
• Assess and communicate with the registered dietitian for nutritional needs.
• Assess vital signs and report abnormalities to Medical Staff.
• Develop crisis plans to maintain safety and reduce external intervention.
• Participate in master treatment plan development with the team.
• Provide nursing care with sound clinical judgment and competency.
• Participate in community meetings and group therapies as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for residents, families, and staff.
• Complete resident rounds timely and document observations.
• Educate residents and families about treatments and medications.
