Job summary

Walden Behavioral Care in Dedham, MA is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced psychiatric setting, with rotating weekends.

The RN will support treatment teams, conduct assessments, document care, administer medications, and educate patients and families while upholding our commitment to safe, compassionate care. Shift options include day, evening, and night.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 2 years’ prior relevant psychiatric experience.
• Massachusetts RN license.
• CPR Certification required prior to employment.
• Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for quality of nursing care and patient safety.
• Act as a patient advocate and assist patients in developing self-advocacy.
• Document patient information in a timely manner.
• Accurately transcribe medication and treatment orders and manage MAR.
• Administer prescribed medications using correct methods.
• Develop patient-specific crisis plans with the treatment team.
• Participate in development of patients’ master treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing patient and family education.
