Job summary

Kips Bay Endoscopy Center is hiring a per diem PreOp/PACU RN to join our team in New York. The PreOp/PACU RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with ongoing assessment and safety from admission through discharge.

Qualifications include an accredited RN school graduate, active NY RN license, BLS and ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years in PreOp/PACU or critical care preferred. Per diem position with hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PreOp, PACU, or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PreOp/PACU.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks and sedation, using sterile techniques.
• Provide total patient care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate discharge readiness.
