Millennium Surgical Center in New Jersey is seeking a per diem PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care from anesthesia recovery through discharge. The RN will assist physicians in the OR, perform conscious sedation procedures as needed, and ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.

The role requires an accredited RN degree, active state RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS as needed), and 2+ years in PACU or critical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required
• PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsabilités

• Provide continuous and high-quality nursing care to all patients with ongoing assessment of condition and safety.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique as needed.
• Provide total comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia/sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation and discharge preparation.
