Job summary

Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Per Diem team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality physical therapy services to our residents.

Duties include developing and implementing treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy, conducting evaluations, maintaining records, and collaborating with the health care team to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with development and implementation of individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Provide hands-on therapy to residents, including exercises, modalities and other interventions
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify resident needs and track progress
• Maintain accurate and timely records of resident care
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care
