Job summary

SportsMed Physical Therapy is seeking per-diem Physical Therapists and PTAs to cover multiple Connecticut locations. We are a multidisciplinary outpatient practice focused on orthopedic and sports-related injuries, offering growth opportunities and a mission to provide compassionate, collaborative care.

CT license or PTA license is required, and strong communication skills are essential. New grads and experienced therapists are welcome.

Qualifications

• Connecticut PT or PTA license required.
• New grads and experienced PTs welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with physician referrals and direct access.
• Develop rehabilitation goals for each patient.
• Maintain communication with chiropractors, acupuncturists, and occupational therapists.
• Complete notes thoroughly and promptly to support collaborative care.
• Promote clinic excellence through CEUs and ongoing education.
• Participate in monthly meetings with Clinic Director and Office Manager to address clinic challenges and improve flow.
• Attend company-wide meetings to support initiatives and patient care.

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Accurately evaluate, diagnose and treat patients, both physician referrals and direct access.
• Assess each patient and develop appropriate rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain high levels of communication with other service providers such as Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, and Occupational Therapists to ensure quality patient care.
• Complete notes thoroughly and within a timely manner to ensure that collaborative care is maintained between other therapists.
• Work towards the advancement of the clinic by maintaining clinical excellence through various CEUs.
• Participate in monthly meetings led by the Clinic Director and Office Manager to identify challenges within the clinic to address and improve clinic flow.
• Attend company-wide meetings to discuss various company initiatives to continuously improve clinical excellence and patient care.
