Job summary

Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist to perform comprehensive evaluations and deliver individualized treatment plans. The role emphasizes patient-centered care across all ages within a clinical setting.

The incumbent will administer effective therapy programs, document care per policy, and participate in safety-focused and collaborative departmental operations. A Pennsylvania PT license and BLS within 30 days are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania or eligible to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs Physical Therapy evaluations according to departmental policy and the needs of the individual patient.
• Establishes appropriate measurable goals in patient treatment and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
• Administers an appropriate and effective physical therapy treatment program.
• Performs discharge planning responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
• Performs all documentation responsibilities pertinent to patient care legibly and in compliance with departmental policy.
• Promotes and assures patient, employee, and visitor safety at all times.
• Participates in departmental and interdepartmental operations in a responsible manner to foster and maintain an efficient working environment.
