Job summary

Avamere Rehab of Cascade Park in Vancouver, WA is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist (PT). Wage: $55–$60/hr DOE. Location: 801 SE Park Crest Ave, Vancouver, WA 98683.

The PT will evaluate and treat patients, develop plans, educate families, and maintain compliance with licensure and billing requirements. Collaboration with rehab team and ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy curriculum.
• Must maintain active CPR/BLS during employment.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• Working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources.
• Exudes professionalism and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy to patients according to licensure.
• Directs and supervises the work of assistants, rehab aides, and students as applicable with state and federal guidelines.
• Follows all organizational and facility safety procedures regarding patient safety.
• Expands and enhances self through continuing education and professional development.
• Supports and participates in department operations and development.
• Communicates patient status and needs to the patient, family, caregivers, or other members involved with patient care.
• Performs evaluations pursuant to MD orders and payer authorizations.
• Develops treatment plans and provides treatment aligned with reimbursement levels for best outcomes.
• Educates staff and third-party payers on benefits and outcomes of interventions.
• Completes documentation including evaluations and progress notes.
• Maintains licensure, certification, and credentialing.
• Submits billing, payroll, and expense documentation in a timely manner.
• Refers to other rehab team members as appropriate.
