Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Physical Therapist for inpatient rehabilitation. The role involves evaluating patients, developing and carrying out a plan of care, and reassessing progress to achieve maximum functional outcomes.

The position includes discharge planning, patient/family education, and collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities also include supervising PTAs and rehab technicians, contributing to department quality initiatives, and mentoring new staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Ohio (PT1) required.
• D/L-HC driver license only if in Home Care department (specialized knowledge) may apply.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: evaluate and treat patients after referral; develop and implement plan of care; document progress and discharge plans.
• Indirect Patient Care: supervise PTAs and rehab techs; participate in quality improvement and meetings.
• Education/Mentoring: orient new staff; serve as clinical instructor for PT/PTA students; participate in multidisciplinary team problem solving.
