Job summary

Fort Myers Rehab & Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for full-time or per diem (PRN) roles in Fort Myers, FL. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility and independence.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited PTA degree, Florida PTA license, and enjoys a collaborative rehab setting with strong communication skills. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Experience in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments to residents under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and mobility techniques.
