Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT).
• Knowledge of Hospital Isolation, Infection Control protocols, patient comfort/safety, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of laboratory regulations, laws, and ethical requirements.
• Ability to perform duties of the position.
• Experience with basic collection and specimen preparation, storage, and disposal.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing, accessioning, phlebotomy, heel and finger sticks, and customer service.
• Handle clerical duties, record keeping, and supply inventory; maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate instruments and perform preventative maintenance as assigned; may travel to other locations for staffing coverage.
