Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking a per diem phlebotomist to collect clinical specimens, assist with patient registration and order entry, and perform waived testing under general supervision.

The role includes venipuncture, specimen handling, and ensuring accurate billing information while maintaining a clean, organized work area. Travel to sites within 25 miles may be required; bilingual abilities may be advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• 6 months to 2 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Spanish language ability may be required based on service location.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification may be required or provided.

Responsibilities

• Collect clinical specimens and assist with patient registration, order entry and specimen processing.
• Perform waived testing with general supervision.
• Provide logistical support and customer assistance.
• Perform venipunctures and explain collection procedures.
• Record and verify billing information; maintain neat, organized area.
• Travel to sites within 25 miles as needed for coverage.
