Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist for Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY. This casual/per diem role has varying start times between 7:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Sunday, with hours as needed.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, collect specimens for various tests, and enter data accurately while providing excellent patient service. Travel to additional sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent, Phlebotomy certification or training, or 3+ months experience.
• Certification or completed training from an accredited agency.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior patient service and coordinate with sites as required.
• Handle administrative duties and travel to additional sites when needed.
