Job summary

RXinsider LTD. is seeking a Per Diem (PRN) Pharmacy Technician to support the JPS Correctional Pharmacy in Fort Worth, TX. The role involves 8- to 12-hour shifts, daytime or overnight, with approximately 3 shifts per week depending on staffing.

Prior pharmacy experience and flexibility for PRN coverage are required. The position is managed by VytlOne within the JPS Health Network, a large tax-supported system serving Tarrant County.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician registration required.
• PTCB or NHA certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior inpatient, correctional, or high-volume pharmacy experience preferred.
• Background check must be passable for correctional facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide as-needed support in the correctional health pharmacy.
• Fill, package, and prepare inmate medications.
• Process requested orders through EMR system.
• Handle controlled substances per regulations.
• Manage inventory and restock units.
• Assist in medication pass preparation.
• Troubleshoot medication issues.
• Maintain compliance with security and pharmacy standards.
• Answer telephones promptly and courteously.
• Participate in orientation, training, staff meetings and related duties.
• Help keep the pharmacy clean and orderly.

Texas Board of Pharmacy registration
