Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy. The role involves dispensing medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and performing necessary clerical duties.

Hours are per diem to cover PTO, callouts, and other needs, typically Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. Strong customer service and professional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted California Pharmacy Technician license.
• Reliable transportation and a valid US driver’s license.
• Ability to perform dispensing under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries to clinics 1-2 times per shift.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
• Supports pharmacy functions and ensures compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
• Communicates with strong verbal and written communication skills.
