Job summary

Genoa Healthcare is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy, dispensing prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. The role is per diem to cover PTO and call outs, typically 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday, at 515 28 3/4 Rd, Building A, Grand Junction, CO 81501.

You will provide excellent customer service, assist in inventory, and help maintain compliance with federal and state

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Colorado
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US drivers license
• Ability to use your car to make deliveries if needed
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred)
• Pharmacy technician experience and prescription data entry experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keep the pharmacy compliant with federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
