Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Genoa Healthcare seeks a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Location: Yankton, SD, hours on an as-needed basis, typically 8:30am–5:00pm with lunchtime 12:30–1:00.

The role emphasizes customer service, accurate verification, inventory management, and compliance with federal/state rules. SD license required; travel not needed.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of South Dakota.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver’s license.
• Preferred: National Pharmacy Technician Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
• Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
• Verify medication stock and enter data to maintain inventory records.
• Assist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
