Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• License Required: Pharmacy Student Intern.
• State licensure/registration.
• Must be a Doctor of Pharmacy student enrolled in an accredited college or university, or a graduate of a non‑approved school of pharmacy who meets the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy requirements for registration.

Responsibilities

• Stock, prepare, and distribute medications.
• Greet patients professionally, answer questions, and refer inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, place and expedite orders, verify receipt, remove outdated drugs, and separate 340B inventories.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Prepare medications for pharmacist to dispense by interpreting orders and calculating quantities.
• Counsel patients under direct pharmacist supervision.
• Perform medication reconciliations.
