Job summary

VytlOne National Pharmacy Services is seeking a Pharmacist per diem (PRN) to support a Bucksport, ME clinic-based pharmacy. The role emphasizes direct patient counseling, drug information, and collaboration with the healthcare team to improve outcomes.

This PRN position may require weekend availability as the pharmacy expands to Saturdays. The incumbent will interpret drug orders, ensure accuracy, and participate in inventory and compliance initiatives while maintaining high standards of patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Pharm.D. and Maine state pharmacy license.
• One year of pharmacy practice experience preferred.
• Ability to counsel patients and communicate technical information clearly.
• Knowledge of drugs, dosing, interactions and safety.
• Willingness to work per diem with weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and fill drug orders.
• Provide patient counseling and information.
• May act as alternate store leader when Pharmacy Manager is absent.
• Coordinate with physicians on prescriptions and questions.
• Dispense prescriptions and prepare I.V. admixtures if applicable.
• Monitor therapy for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
• Maintain patient medication records and inventory.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in routine duties.
• Participate in quality improvement and staff training.
