Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Pharm.D. and Maine state board registration.
• One-year experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred.
• Knowledge of drugs, dosing, interactions, contraindications and safety.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and fill drug orders.
• Provide patient information and counseling.
• May act as alternate Pharmacy Manager in its absence.
• Contact physicians regarding prescription questions or irregularities.
• Dispense prescriptions and prepare IV admixtures if applicable.
• Monitor therapy for interactions, allergies and appropriateness.
• Maintain patient medication records and inventory.
