Job summary

Doctors Medical Center of Modesto, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a Pharmacist for per diem coverage in the Pharmacy department. You will ensure proper drug distribution, verify appropriate therapy based on patient age, weight, and disease state, and communicate drug information to physicians and staff.

The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, California Pharmacist license, and 1+ year of experience; Pharmacy Residency is desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred; completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program or equivalent experience desirable.
• 1+ years of pharmacist experience preferred. Proficient verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
• Must possess a valid pharmacist license in California in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper drug distribution and control; assess and ensure rational and effective therapy based on patient age, weight, and disease state.
• Communicate drug information to physicians, other health care professionals and patients; maintain effective and efficient workflow.
• Supervise ancillary staff and uphold patient safety and accuracy within pharmacy operations.
