Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties associated with processing prescriptions. Per Diem Pharmacists are classified as temporary employees and work on an intermittent basis.

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, informing customers about medications, delivering superior service, and adhering to state laws. A Louisiana Pharmacist license and a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD is required.
• Current pharmacist license in state of Louisiana.
• Experience accurately dispensing medications.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
