Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital is actively recruiting for a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist/Pulmonary Function Technologist to support quality patient care and pulmonary testing, including spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion, ABG, and related procedures. The role also supports PFT lab operations and may assist in research projects.

The position requires Massachusetts licensure as a Respiratory Therapist and registration as an RRT, with 0 scheduled hours weekly and onsite work at the Boston

Qualifications

Massachusetts license as a Respiratory Therapist is required.
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
AS in Respiratory Therapy minimum; BS preferred.
1-3 years' experience preferred, will consider recent graduates.
BLS certification, ACLS desired.
CPFT/RPFT desired.
Previous PFT experience desired.

Responsibilities

Performs Pulmonary Function Tests and arterial blood gas punctures.
Assists with scheduling for all PFT-related areas including main labs and satellite clinics.
Maintains quality standards and documents results.
Participates in clinical research and quality improvement programs.
Coordinates education for staff, students, and inservice training.
