Job summary

Willcare, part of LHC Group within the Optum family, seeks a Per Diem Personal Care Assistant to support clients at home. Responsibilities include daily living activities, meal prep, transfers, and medication reminders, with emphasis on safety and compassionate care.

New York state training or equivalent experience is required, with CPR preferred within 90 days of hire. The role offers flexible hours and included benefits.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable vehicle.
• State-specific NY requirement for home health aide training or equivalent experience.
• CPR certification preferred within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home environmental, nutritional and personal care support.
• Assist with bathing, hair, teeth, nails, skin care, transfers and mobility.
• Prep meals and assist with medications as directed; ensure safe home environment.
• Record vital signs when ordered and report changes to supervisor.
• Support clients to appointments and perform essential errands.
