Job summary

Willcare, part of LHC Group within the Optum family, seeks Per Diem Personal Care Assistants I or II to support clients at home with daily living, nutrition, and personal care. You will help with hygiene, mobility, meal prep, and essential household tasks to enable independence and safety in the client home.

Requirements include NY driver’s license, ability to work flexible hours, and prefer 6+ months home care experience or NY HHA training. CPR may be required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid NY driver's license and vehicle insurance, or access to dependable transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or can be completed within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care, environmental and nutritional support to help clients remain at home.
• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Reminds and assists with medication as ordered.
• Records vital signs and monitors client health as trained.
• Supports clients with mobility and transfers; accompanies to appointments or errands.
