Job summary

Edward-Elmhurst Health EVH Evanston Hospital is seeking a Perinatal Mental Health Clinician for per diem coverage. The role supports the Perinatal Depression Program, responding to hotline calls, assessing depression/anxiety, and developing intervention plans for women and families.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Doctorate in Mental Health, with licensure (LCSW/LSW, APNCS, LCPC/LPC/LCP) and at least 3 years of mental health experience. Per diem shifts include days, evenings, and nights.

Qualifications

• Education: Masters Degree or Doctorate in Mental Health Services.
• Licensure: LCSW/LSW, IDFPR, or APNCS/LCPC/LPC/LCP as applicable.
• Experience: 3 years in mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional support to callers to the hotline.
• Assess caller status and for symptoms of depression/anxiety.
• Develop joint intervention plans and coordinate patient outreach.
• Initiate calls to patients scoring depressed range on the Edinburgh scale.
• Document hotline calls and outreach within 24 hours.
