First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. Shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, and you can pick up the shifts that fit your life.

You choose the schedule you want, with options like daily or weekly pay. As a PCU RN, you will deliver high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings, monitor patients, administer medications, document in EMR, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families about care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment
