Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule with 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts, choosing the days that fit your life and daily/pay options.

You’ll work in acute-care settings, with competitive per diem pay, daily or weekly pay options, and a responsive local team. Active Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, and vaccines or approved exemptions are required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and care teams.
• Maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.

• Active Virginia RN License
