Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a are available.

Take control of your schedule with FCN: pick up as few as one shift per month, receive daily or weekly pay, and use easy mobile scheduling. Active Virginia RN license required plus PCU experience.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care within acute-care hospital environments.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions and document findings.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure infection-control standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
