Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Telemetry RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your schedule, with per diem pay and options for daily or weekly pay.

These roles require Virginia RN licensure, PCU experience within the last four years, and current BLS/ACLS. Vaccination or exemption is required. Roles offer flexible scheduling and hospital-based opportunities with responsive local support.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA).
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
