Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across our Virginia facilities. You will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care environments and have the freedom to pick shifts that fit your life.

As a PCU RN, you will monitor patients, manage medications, collaborate with care teams, and document care in electronic records. Per diem pay is competitive, with options for daily or weekly pay and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN License with minimum 2 years of PCU experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
