First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick shifts that fit your life, with options for daily and weekly pay and the freedom to work when it works for you. Ideal candidates have Virginia RN license, PCU experience, BLS and ACLS, and be able to meet facility requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
