First Choice Nurses in Virginia is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads. You control your schedule by picking shifts that fit your life, with options for daily or weekly pay and flexible commitments.

Shifts include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, offering competitive per diem pay and hospital-based opportunities. Active Virginia RN license, 2+ years PCU experience, and current BLS/ACLS are required, along with vaccinations or approved exemptions.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional facility-specific credentials may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
