Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, offering the freedom to pick schedules that fit your life and a competitive per diem pay structure.

Choose your own shifts with daily and weekly pay options, and join a locally owned staffing team with over 15 years of experience. Virginia RN license and current BLS/ACLS, plus TB test and vaccination requirements, apply.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience (past 4 years).
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
