First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across the Hampton Roads area. You can pick up shifts that fit your life while earning competitive per diem pay and enjoying flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• AHA BLS Current
• AHA ACLS Current
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
