First Choice Nurses is actively seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. You control when you work by choosing day or night shifts to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
• Current BLS (AHA).
• Current ACLS (AHA).
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and equipment for PCU patients.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.
